Don’t forget to turn your clocks back 50 years tonight!
I didn’t want to go. I wanted to mope and mourn and crawl back under the covers. But what could I say when Amy offered to swing by and pick me up? I put on some black clothing and found a tube of yellow paint. Our magnificent Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury spoke, as well as representatives from Equality New Mexico, the NM Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, and the Black Voters Collaborative. It made me feel proud to be a New Mexican.

That Plant Place on Candelaria
Margy
Tom had called me outside in the morning to look at some paint colors. I was still in my pajamas. But I ran out, hoping no one would walk by. Suddenly Margy appeared, along with Wynn, her sweet long-haired dachshund. I had been wanting to meet her for months. She lives right across Candelaria. I told her I had heard about her art, and she asked me if I’d like to visit her studio. Right now. So I ran with her down the alley and across the street. (Still in my pajamas.) What a treat it was to meet her and see her work! But I didn’t have my glasses with me, and when I stepped on Wynn I knew it was time to run home. She has a show opening here in June.
Dogs We Love
We got to visit with our 2 favorite dogs yesterday evening. Dexter, above, moved away last October, but he came back for a visit yesterday. And that’s Milo, below, in the center of the universe where he belongs.
