It’s been a year and a half since Sue has seen her son Sam, who now lives in Denver.
Bill, Tom’s brother, pulled Bambi all the way from Virginia. Sue flew in today. And suddenly here we all are, in front of Bambi.

Dorene and Kei
My new next door neighbor Dorene (that’s her in the pink glasses) took me to Kei and Molly’s yesterday, and then we swung by O’Neil’s for lunch outside on the patio. So much fun!
The Linda Davick Advertising Award this month goes to the Company Store catalog.
Tom had called me outside in the morning to look at some paint colors. I was still in my pajamas. But I ran out, hoping no one would walk by. Suddenly Margy appeared, along with Wynn, her sweet long-haired dachshund. I had been wanting to meet her for months. She lives right across Candelaria. I told her I had heard about her art, and she asked me if I’d like to visit her studio. Right now. So I ran with her down the alley and across the street. (Still in my pajamas.) What a treat it was to meet her and see her work! But I didn’t have my glasses with me, and when I stepped on Wynn I knew it was time to run home. She has a show opening here in June.
We got to visit with our 2 favorite dogs yesterday evening. Dexter, above, moved away last October, but he came back for a visit yesterday. And that’s Milo, below, in the center of the universe where he belongs.
If I wake up and Tom is not around, I look out the window and usually I can spot him drinking coffee from a little bridge over the acequia. (“Acequia” sounds prettier than “irrigation ditch!”) He took this photo from the bridge.
Mariposa Gallery is in downtown Albuquerque near the Flying Star and the Guild Theater. They were showing work by Lisa Smith, and we couldn’t resist. More of Lisa’s work below:
