It is so nice having this bookstore right across the park! Ottessa's latest book is My Year of Rest and Relaxation.

FOG Photos
One of my very favorite jobs is taking photos at FOG. I love taking portraits of the artists at their opening parties. Yesterday Paige Laverty's show, All Things Ocean, opened. Last month, Joseph Zirker (below, age 94) showed his joyful work. The hardest part is keeping the artists occupied while I strive to get their art somewhat square with my iPhone. I now have a collection of thirty different FOG artists. Some recent ones:
Joe Zirker is presently working on a show scheduled two years from now.
Jeffrey Nemeroff at the opening of his show. Doesn't his hair look like a wave?

Another great book recommended by Barbara L. ...Not only is the writing incredible, but the story takes place in my neighborhood!
Not pictured: the stresses and strains of everyday life.

Studio Visit
detail from the new painting by Anne Herbst
This afternoon I checked my email. A message from Anne! She had just finished a painting. I jumped in the car and zoomed across the park to see. Lucky me.

On My Desk
I was so excited to receive an ARC today! (Had to look it up. ARC stands for Advance Reviewer Copy.) And I printed out the whole book on 12" x 18" paper so Lucille can read it. I cleaned my print head three times; looks like I may be needing a new printer soon (?)
